Monic Behnken and Alissa Stoehr win YWCA Women of Achievement Awards

Monic Behnken, associate professor of sociology, and Alissa Stoehr, lecturer of sociology, have each been awarded the 2019 Women of Achievement Award by the YWCA of Ames at ISU.

According to its website, the award is given to recognize women of Story county for their work toward “eliminating racism and empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.”

Behnken and Stoehr will be recognized at a reception on March 7, 2019. You may purchase tickets to the reception here.
