Monic Behnken, associate professor of sociology and director of leadership studies, was among those selected to be a part of the 2019-2020 Iowa State University Emerging Leaders Academy.
The Emerging Leaders Academy is open to faculty and professional and scientificstaff who currently hold or aspire to be in leadership positions at the University. Participants, who are selected from a competitive pool of nominees, attend monthly meetings led by campus experts on topics such as strategic planning, budget development, performance management, understanding diversity and creating and inclusive campus culture.
For the 2019-2020 cohort, the scheduled meeting dates commence on September 5, 2019 and graduation is May 11, 2020.
