Bio
Originally from central Iowa, Kyle A. Burgason earned his PhD in Criminal Justice in 2014 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Dr. Burgason’s research and teaching interests are vast and include issues rooted in policing, the intersection of race and crime, ethics in criminal justice, criminological theory, structural and cultural context of violent crime and victimization, capital punishment, and optimal foraging theory’s applications to crime. His recent work appears in Deviant Behavior, Journal of Interpersonal Violence, the American Journal of Criminal Justice, Homicide Studies, Criminal Justice Studies, Journal of Ethnicity in Criminal Justice, and Youth Violence and Juvenile Justice.
