Shannon Harper, assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice, received the Richard J. Terrill Paper of the Year Award for the Best Article Published in International Criminal Justice Review 2023. The study is titled “The Systemic Model of Social Disorganization and Homicide and Suicide Trajectories in South Korean Community Areas: Testing the Stream Analogy of Lethal Violence.” Harper earned the award in March 2024.
