Dan Krier, professor of sociology, has published a new co-edited volume of critical social theory with State University of New York Press entitled, Capital in the Mirror: Critical Social Theory and the Aesthetic Dimension. The book, co-edited with Mark P. Worrell, appears in SUNY’s New Political Science series and features articles by leading theorists in philosophy, political science and sociology. Each chapter uses the lens of classic literature and film to analyze contemporary problems of capitalism and to identify possibilities for political reform and social regeneration.
