Chris Morris, graduate student in the Department of Sociology, recently received a Brown Graduate Fellowship from Iowa State’s Office of the Vice President for Research. Morris was awarded the $10,000 grant for evaluating farmers’ perspectives on conservation planning as part of the Iowa Farm and Rural Life Poll, and for his contributions to the Consortium for Cultivating Human and Naturally reGenerative Enterprises (C-CHANGE). Morris will earn his master’s degree this summer and will begin a Ph.D. program in rural sociology and sustainable agriculture in the fall.
